His ESG Investing certification from the CFA underscores his commitment to integrating ESG factors into decision-making. He is also an accomplished author of publications in artificial intelligence, construction law, and ADR. Hamizah Hamzah
Hamizah Hamzah is the Chief Strategy Officer at CIC Capital Consultancy, a prominent Malaysian advisory firm dedicated to sustainability and innovation. With a strong background in law and dispute resolution, she has established herself as a leader in integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into both public sector governance and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) practices. Hamizah holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Laws, specializing in ADR during her time as an advocate and solicitor. She has further enhanced her expertise with certifications ESG Leadership. She also completed GRI Certified Training Program and participated in the ISSB: Applying the IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards programme. Her extensive work includes spearheading ESG initiatives in collaboration with public sector institutions, notably leading the development of Standard Guidelines for ESG Reporting for Public Sectors in partnership with the University of Malaya (UM). As co-author of ESG Leadership in Public Sectors: A Practical Handbook for Public Administrators, she provides actionable insights for embedding ESG principles into governance frameworks. The book, featuring forewords by the Yang di-Pertua Negeri of the State of Penang and the Minister of Investment, Trade, and Industry, highlights her commitment to sustainable governance. Hamizah also leads the MYESG Forums, a vital platform uniting policymakers, industry leaders, and academics to address ESG challenges and opportunities. Hamizah’s expertise in forging strategic partnerships and advancing public sector sustainability makes her a vital contributor to ESG progress in Malaysia and beyond.
Professor Dato Dr Rahmat Mohamad
Professor Dato Dr Rahmat Mohamad is an Honorary Professor of Law at Universiti Teknologi PDC (UiTM) Malaysia and a Fellow of the University of Aberystwyth, United Kingdom. He is recently appointed as Adjunct Lecturer at the Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Faculty of Law, Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali, Brunei.He was the Deputy Vice Chancellor and Dean of Law Faculty at the same university. He formerly served as the Chairman of the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (SUHAKAM) and Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC).
At the international level, he has served as the Fifth Secretary General of the Asian – African Legal Consultative Organization (AALCO) for two terms from 2008 till 2016. AALCO is an inter-governmental organization serving as international law consultancy body for 47 governments of Asia and Africa and a permanent observer of the United Nations, with its headquarters in New Delhi, India. While at AALCO among his leading works dealt with sustainability, climate change, marine biodiversity, mediation, arbitration and promoting progressive development of international law.

Dr. Sham Razak
Dr. Sham Razak is a speaker, consultant, and trainer specialising in embedding sustainability as a strategy within organisations. As the former Director of the Academy at UN Global Compact Malaysia and Brunei, he has been instrumental in transforming the perspectives and practices of more than 1,000 professionals and business owners. His efforts have turned these individuals into informed advocates of sustainability, with a deep understanding of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices. Dr. Sham’s approach is unique in that it goes beyond theoretical knowledge, emphasising the demystification of ESG complexities and unlocking tangible value for both individuals and organisations.
His extensive experience includes engagements with a wide array of prestigious organisations across Malaysia. Notable among these are the Northern Corridor Implementation Agency (NCIA), Malaysian Productivity Corporation (MPC), Sarawak Energy Berhad, Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), Alliance Bank Berhad, KWSP, SME Bank Bhd., SME Corp., Centre for Entrepreneurship Development & Research (CEDAR), Mah Sing Bhd., Maybank Berhad, MIDF, Cradle Fund, and many others.
Currently, Dr. Sham through CIC is consulting with businesses and agencies to help them develop their sustainability blueprints, in addition to actively running sustainability training workshops and programmes, including one that is internationally certified by ITOL United Kingdom.
Dr. Sham’s approach, which blends practical application with scholarly insight, has been pivotal in equipping a diverse range of businesses, from start-ups to established corporations. He has enabled them to harness sustainability as a key driver for enhanced competitiveness and resilience in today’s dynamic marketplace. Mr Shafik Husni
Shafik Bin Husni, a certified HRDF-accredited trainer with over 19 years of experience, specializes in sustainability, environmental management, and HSE. He has worked with industry leaders such as ExxonMobil, Shell, and Petronas, overseeing key projects and ensuring compliance with ISO standards. His expertise spans waste management, sustainability practices, GHG accounting, and green energy initiatives, making him a sought-after expert in corporate sustainability.
A Certified Environmental Professional in Scheduled Waste Management (CePSWaM), Certified ESG Practitioner, and ISO 14064 & GHG Protocol Certified professional, he also founded the Professional Industry in Environmental Management (PDiEM). Known for translating technical knowledge into actionable solutions, Shafik delivers impactful training programs that drive sustainable transformation.
